Herbert Hoover and Hoovervilles
Herbert Hoover, felt strongly about a laissez-faire type system for the United States. He felt that people should run the economy and business themselves and that the government should have no control over this. People were terribly unhappy during his time at Presidency. He created Hoovervilles which were essentially poor, slum like living arrangements where jobless impoverished people were living at the time.
