February / March Revolution
1. In February 1917 workers all over Petrograd(St Petersburg) striked and were joined by the army sent to send them back to work.
2. These revolts were caused by the losing russian army, political scandals including Rasputin and terrible leadership from the Tsar Alexander.
3. The Tsar was scared by reports from the Capital, gave up the throne and was put under palace arrest.
4. The workers and nobles then made a provisional government to maintain order.
