Austria was unified with Germany in 1938 as a result of Anchluss, as the two nations became one. There was no objections from other nations including Britain minus Italy as they had misgivings at first, but Mussolini gave in. Next Hitler wanted to take control of the Sudentenland by invading Czechslovakia while Mussolini steps up to the plate with four other nations at the Munich Conference. As a result, Hitler agrees to wait to occupy and the Sudentenland is handed to him, but appeasement comes to an end when Germany invades Poland.
